What is Compressor and What Works?

Do you know what this compressor is? By the way, we see these air compressors all around us, but we do not know that the compressor is used in those devices. For example, you must have seen the compressor in the gas stations, which are used to fill the air in the types of vehicles. Since these typres cannot be manually filled with air, pressurized air has to be filled in it and Compressor is most suitable for this.

The word of the compressor shows that there is talk of compressing it. And this is also fine because the compressor is used to compress the air. These compressors are also used in the refrigerator (fridge) and AC (air conditioner) in our homes. If seen, we are surrounded by a different type of air compressor, but we do not have any information about them. So today I thought that why should you be provided information about what is Compressor and how many types are there so that you can easily get answers to all the questions arising in people's minds. Then without delay, let's start and know what the compressor is in Hindi.

Compressor is a type of mechanical device that is used to increase the pressure of gas or air. Air is generally compressible, so the pressure of air is increased by using compressor by reducing its volume. It has many applications such as refrigeration and air conditioning, in industrial automation where pneumatic actuators are used. Different types of air compressors are needed for different applications. Although all compressors have the same basic principles but have different applications and their working is also different.

What are the main components of the compressor?
A compressor mainly consists of two main components, one is power source and the other is the mechanism of compression. For example an air compressor works only when the air enters with a vane or piston, and it is compressed with increased pressure and decreased volume. Once the maximum pressure is reached, the built-in mechanism switches off the air intake. This compressed air then becomes usable. As the air starts to use and the pressure starts to decrease, the second built-in switch allows more air to enter, it starts the process to start again.

Compressor Type
By the way, there are many types of Compressor according to their application. But there are mainly two important among them.

1. Dynamic Type
2. Positive Displacement Type

There are also very different types of these two types.

Dynamic type
1. Centrifugal compressors
2. Axial compressors

Positive displacement
1. Rotary compressors
 Lobe compressors
 Rotary screw compressors
 Scroll compressors
 Rotary vane compressors

2. Reciprocating Compressors
 Single acting
 Double acting
 Diaphragm

Dynamic Compressors
When we talk about dynamic, then it comes to know about some forces which produce some kind of motion. The same happens in its case, dynamic compressors deal with the momentum of air. In this type of compressors, dynamic moment is generated with the help of a rotating impeller which increases the pressure of the flowing air. Dynamic compressors have more applications in the petroleum and chemical industries where continuous work is required for long runs. The dynamic compressors are further divided into two sub-categories centrifugal and axial compressors.

Centrifugal Compressors
It is a continuous flow compressor. Centrifugal compressors are mixed flow compressors in which the air enters axially inside the compressor and exits radially. Rotating impellers are used to perform this dynamic action. Rotating impellers provide high inertial forces to the air. The air flow that occurs has to go through the compressor in several stages, and in each stage the air has to go through the impeller (moving element) and diffuser (stationery element), where it loses its velocity and pressure gain. Does.
